Filter plates
Polluted water nowadays poses constantly new demands on the technology in sewage works in order to achieve clean water and drinking water. Our many years of experience in the development and manufacture of prefabricated filter plates represents procedural support for the filtration of polluted water in sewage works. B+F Dorsten reinforced concrete filter plates guarantee an economic solution whilst at the same time assuring a high degree of variability. As a technical designer or engineering office, you give us the specifications of the local authority or operator responsible and we will provide you with products adapted to suit your individual requirements. A modular method of construction enables us to offer a high degree of variability. Our own in-company engineering office individually supplies the static verification required on account of the variable construction method. You can be assured that the partner with whom you have chosen to collaborate is completely competent and will supply high-quality finished parts. We are a specialist company in compliance with the German Water Resources Act (Section 19 I WHG), certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 as well as quality-protection monitored, and also operate our own in-company quality assurance system.

Filter elements mounted on the filter plates
On account of the static requirements, our filter plates are made of watertight reinforced concrete with particularly high compressive strength. The concrete is resistant to a high level of chemical contamination as well as to corrosion and has a nonporous fair-faced concrete surface. It is possible to screw in up to 80 filter nozzles per m2, depending on requirements. Reliable absorption of static loads, in particular of the reflux pressure, is guaranteed by means of an individual verification. It is possible to vary the dimensions of the prefabricated parts. The size of the individual modules is dependent on transport restrictions and handling at the assembly site. A decisive criterion for the assembly of filter plates is almost horizontal alignment on the surface in order to assure an even distribution of the air layer for a well-balanced flushing result.
